Springfield, MA – 7-21-24
Ken Harris, an award-winning playwright, actor, and screenwriter, is proud to present his original solo play, Foes of a Minimum Wage Guard. This captivating one-hour and fifteen-minute performance explores the struggles of Steve Smelly, a 68-year-old retail loss prevention officer battling shoplifters, health challenges, and the decline of a once-thriving department store.
Set against the backdrop of a dying mall, the play delivers a unique blend of humor, heart, and drama. Audiences are taken on a journey through Steve’s self-discovery as he faces mounting pressure from the tyrannical Mr. Coldstone, his no-nonsense boss.
